Made to Measure, Not Off the Shelf
Your kilt is not pre-made in a standard size. When you order, you choose your waist size and kilt length on this page, and you can add your hip or seat and fell measurements for an even closer fit. Our kilt makers then cut the Douglas Grey cloth, set the pleats and stitch the kilt to those figures. The leather straps allow roughly two inches of adjustment either way, so the kilt can still be fastened comfortably if your waist changes slightly over time.

Looking After Your Kilt
To keep the Douglas Grey tartan looking its best, hand wash the kilt in cold water and allow it to dry on a hanger. Keep it away from bleach and strong chemicals, and do not wring the fabric. Storing the kilt hanging, rather than folded, helps the pleats hold their shape.
