The Cornish sett is woven as a repeating pattern of checks and lines, and because the kilt is pleated by hand, the way that pattern falls across the back and sides is as important as the front apron. Our makers take care to keep the design balanced along the full width of the kilt.
Made to Measure, Not Off the Shelf
Your kilt is not pre-made in a standard size. When you order, you choose your waist size and kilt length on this page, and you can add your hip or seat and fell measurements for an even closer fit. Our kilt makers then cut the Cornish cloth, set the pleats and stitch the kilt to those figures. The leather straps allow roughly two inches of adjustment either way, so the kilt can still be fastened comfortably if your waist changes slightly over time.

Caring for Your Acrylic Wool Kilt
Hand wash your kilt in cold water with a mild detergent and hang it to dry naturally. Avoid wringing, tumble drying and harsh chemicals, as these can affect the pleats and the colours of the Cornish tartan. Between wears, hang the kilt by the waist or roll it loosely to keep the pleats sharp.

Each kilt is tailored after your order is placed. Standard delivery takes approximately 20 to 25 days. For an upcoming wedding or event, choose Rush Order on this page and we aim to deliver within 5 to 10 days. We deliver worldwide; shipping is calculated at checkout and is free on orders over $300.
We accept return or exchange requests within 30 days of receiving your order for eligible items that are unused, unwashed and returned with their original tags and packaging. Change-of-mind returns are not accepted on made-to-order kilts. Full terms are set out in our Return and Exchange Policy.
