Every tartan has its own sett, the repeating sequence of colours and stripe widths that makes it recognisable. The Ardmore sett is carried through the full length of the cloth, so the pattern reads clearly across the apron and the pleats alike.
Made to Measure, Not Off the Shelf
Your kilt is not pre-made in a standard size. When you order, you choose your waist size and kilt length on this page, and you can add your hip or seat and fell measurements for an even closer fit. Our kilt makers then cut the Ardmore cloth, set the pleats and stitch the kilt to those figures. The leather straps allow roughly two inches of adjustment either way, so the kilt can still be fastened comfortably if your waist changes slightly over time.

Looking After Your Kilt
To keep the Ardmore tartan looking its best, hand wash the kilt in cold water and allow it to dry on a hanger. Keep it away from bleach and strong chemicals, and do not wring the fabric. Storing the kilt hanging, rather than folded, helps the pleats hold their shape.

Each kilt is tailored after your order is placed. Standard delivery takes approximately 20 to 25 days. For an upcoming wedding or event, choose Rush Order on this page and we aim to deliver within 5 to 10 days. We deliver worldwide; shipping is calculated at checkout and is free on orders over $300.
We accept return or exchange requests within 30 days of receiving your order for eligible items that are unused, unwashed and returned with their original tags and packaging. Change-of-mind returns are not accepted on made-to-order kilts. Full terms are set out in our Return and Exchange Policy.
